Attorney at Law

JAMES J. BERTUCCI graduated from Portland University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After a tour of duty in Vietnam, he attended University of Notre Dame Law School and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1972. Jim worked at the Lake County State's Attorney's Office from 1973 until 1978. After leaving the State's Attorney's Office, Jim entered private practice. Since then, he has handled criminal defense matters throughout the Illinois and the United States for over 35 years.

James C. Bertucci, J.D.

Attorney at Law

JAMES C. BERTUCCI graduated from DePauw University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts. He graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2000 with a Juris Doctor. James worked as a Lake County Assistant State's Attorney from 2001 until 2007. During that time, he was assigned to the traffic, misdemeanor, juvenile, felony review, and felony divisions, trying many cases at each level. In 2007 he left to enter private practice with his father. Since then he has practiced exclusively criminal law throughout the State of Illinois. James has lectured at drug and alcohol programs about how the law treats substance abuse offenders. He has also been asked to speak various community schools about juveniles and criminal law.
